COACH (YC S26) is the AI coach for in-person sales reps

COACH, a Y Combinator S26 startup, launched an AI coaching platform Tuesday that records every in-person sales meeting and gives each rep personalized feedback and a path to the next close. Already live with the top five in-person sales companies in France, it has lifted conversion rates by 32 percent on average.

The decision it puts on your desk

field sales organizations still relying on manager ride-alongs and quarterly reviews are operating with maybe five percent visibility into what actually happens in customer meetings. If you run an in-person sales team, book a demo at getcoach.com and ask for a comparison of your current coaching cost per rep against a system that gives every rep personalized feedback after every meeting.

Eighty-five percent of sales worldwide still happen face-to-face, and in-person selling is brutally hard.

Mathieu Perez, Thomas Perez, and Nicolas Sebag know this from the inside. At 18, the three founders started their first company. They hired 44 field reps and made €3.5 million in 14 months. One thing drove them crazy: same product, same training, and one rep closing four times more than the others. It made no sense.

That gap is what COACH exists to close. The Y Combinator S26 startup launched its AI coaching platform Tuesday, and it is already live with the top five in-person sales companies in France. On average, COACH has lifted conversion rates by 32 percent.

The product works through a mobile app. Reps record every meeting in-home, on the showroom floor, or door-to-door. They walk out of each one with personal, precise feedback and a clear path to the next close.

The feedback is not generic. COACH learns how to close customers for your specific business and gives every rep a personalized coach trained on what the top 20 percent do differently.

Every meeting also feeds one sales brain for the company. Leadership can ask why one region is closing twice as much as another, or which objection is killing deals this month, and COACH has the answer.

The company is now growing in the US, where its first customers are switching from virtual ride-along platforms to COACH.

I think the most important detail in COACH's story is where the insight came from. The founders did not read about the problem in a research paper. They lived it. They ran the field sales team, watched the gap between their best and worst reps widen, and could not explain it with anything in the training manual. That kind of scar tissue produces a different product than a thesis about AI in sales.

The technical challenge is harder than it looks, too. In-person meetings are unstructured. There is no transcript to feed into a model. There is background noise, interruptions, and body language the audio alone does not capture. Building a coaching engine that works across that variability, in multiple languages, on a phone, is not a thin wrapper on a transcription API.

COACH is the kind of company that makes sense only if you believe the best sales intelligence is already sitting inside your reps' recordings and nobody has been able to extract it at scale until now.
