OiiOii AI launches multi-agent animation studio in the US. 100,000 makers wanted in. 100 got in.
OiiOii AI launched its multi-agent animation platform in the US, turning a single creator's prompt into a fully scored animated short film through seven specialized AI agents. The beta drew 100,000 sign-ups for 100 spots. The founder spent years at Tencent's WeChat, ByteDance's CapCut, and Bilibili's animation division.

The decision it puts on your desk
Re-price your animated content production budget by end of quarter. OiiOii's seven-agent pipeline turns one person into a full animation studio. Runway, Kling, and Sora offer comparable video generation. The cost curve is collapsing. If you are paying 2025 rates for animated marketing or social media content, you are overpaying by the animation studio, not the project. One loose thread: pricing is not public. The beta is invite-only with no published timeline for general access. ByteDance backing and 100,000 waitlist sign-ups suggest the demand is real. Whether the economics work for commercial production depends on numbers the company has not shared.

The platform works like an animation studio, not a video generator. A user describes an idea in plain language. The Art Director interprets the creative vision. The Scriptwriter builds the narrative. The Character Designer generates a full character sheet with a face-ID system that maintains visual consistency across every shot. The Storyboard Artist lays out the sequence. The Sound Director scores it. Seven agents. One pipeline.
The technical backbone is DreamActor-M1, a ByteDance proprietary model that locks in character appearance at the vector level. This solves the problem that kills AI animation: characters that look different in every shot.
OiiOii also uses a multi-engine orchestrator that routes rendering to the best available model from more than 30 integrated foundation models, including Seedance 2.0, and auto-patches failures by rerouting to alternatives. The platform offers more than 200 preset art styles, from Ghibli watercolor to synthwave neon.
The founder, Naonao, was a product leader at Tencent's WeChat, ByteDance's CapCut, and Bilibili's animation division. She said she "spent years wanting to make animation and finding the tools out of reach."
The mission is creative equality: 100 million people creating their own animations by 2030.
A new Music Video feature launched alongside the US debut. It analyzes song structure, emotion, and rhythm to generate a narrative video from a music track, using three creative modes: Narrative, Visual FX, and Performance.
